Kiwistyle

ok, so the fashion downunder is quite an interesting topic,
so me and figured we would check this rather horrifying trend out, and what better place to go than Supre.
Where the bright neoncolours are the new IT-Thing, and also these horrible colours skirts with patterns..
we probably didn't find the absolute worst outfit there was, but it was bad enough.
David swore he felt slightly nauseated by the pictures, so we figured we'd let you have a look and see what effect it has on you..
We think we look stunningly beautiful:D nah tbh, we didn't even dare to leave the fitting room.

Coast to Coast

It is about 16km from the east coast to the west coast of auckland, and they have this cool walkway that you can follow from the viaduct harbour all the way to onehunga. Today was such a nice and sunny day, we just couldn't let this oportunity pass us by so we packed down our water bottles, put on our sunnies and set out. First stop, the viaduct, where we picked up a map and then we were ready.
First big stop was The Domain, this huge park, which we would've been lost in if there had not been arrows to point where the walkway was.. (Well me and ann would, David had the map). Eventually we got to mt.Eden, we've been up there before, but we couldn't walk the coast to coast without getting to the top again, so up we went, now cows in the vulcano this time. We had a drinksbreak and some choccy before we set off towards One Three Hill, (where there's actually no three anymore), which was fun, hehe.. considering we have a few friends who watch the tv-series called one three hill (even tho they're not related to each other)
then the hard part was over. We walked for about 6 hours, it says it takes 4-6 hours depending on fitness and age, apparantly we're not very fit then haha. But we did have many breaks along the way, and a longer lunchbreak as well:D
All in all, we had such lovely weather, (if i don't get sunburnt, something's wrong), and the trip was even better than i expected it to bed, yet a lot longer hehe. But it doesn't really matter, because i enjoyed it. We were all completely knackered when we came back, we watched Charlie and the Chocolate factory, and now we've gone to bed, i just wanted to update before i went to sleep:D
Here's some pics from the trip, sadly we ran out of battery on one three hill, so there's no pics from the end of the walk.

Noho Marae 2

I promised ages ago that i would make another noho marae post. As you read in July, me and Ann attende a maori weekend for international students at AUT in march, and we decided we wanted to do it again, so we attended the 2nd semester one as well.
I'd just completely forgot that i promised to do another blog on it, so yeh here we are 2 months after.. (still an improvment from last time, hehe, then again we didn't start the blog till July)
Met loads of new interesting internationals, met a few old friends from the last marae, and we had an amazing time with the amazing maori staff of AUT. If we are allowed, we'll keep coming back for as long as we're here.
We were experts on the stick game, and nobody knew the waiata like we did. And certainly did we shake our booty on the dancefloor all night long haha.
It's an exhausting weekend, but i'll keep coming till they kick me out of the marae hehe.
i love the whole atmosphere of the noho. It's amazing, I miss it heaps now, i can't believe it's already been almost 2 months since it was. Sadly we didn't keep in touch with as many of the new ones this time around:( i guess it's because most of them live at the wellesley student apartments and we don't.
Anyway i'll post a few pics and stuff so you guys can see what we did etc. they are a bit similar to the last time tho, as we did pretty much the same things;)

Dinner time

in september, me and ann was home alone for a couple of days in the beginning of this month, and we made awsome dinners.
Norwegian "grøt" and crackers, cheese and wine, and we took some nice pics that i wanted to share with you all.. we did a have great time on our, yet it was kinda boring, when u are used to a full house of 4 people, being only 2 is a bit weird.. but i moved down to ann's room for the occasion and we watched movies and ate desert.

Ann and Ida turning kiwi?

We both said at the beginning of this year we would not give in for the kiwi fashion trend.
That was then, we've slowly been converted, what started with heaps and eh? and true, sweet ass bro. has now extended..
Take a look at the result...
do you love it? (hehe, got it Ann? it's hot, if u've seen simple life with paris and nicky u will know what i'm talking about)

Rainbows End

It's holidays, it's nice, aka not raining, we are up for some fun.
Me,Ann,David, Andrea and Andrew decided we should go to Rainbows End, a nice, cool themepark just outside the city, We spent about 7 hours there, meaning we tried more or less every single thing in the park. NZ only rollercoaster, powersurge, car racing haha (go-karts), motion master, log flume (getting a bit wet, experiencing the enchanted forrest:D )
Bumper cars, the time flew and suddenly we were on our way back again, compared to last time we went we actually did take quite a lot of pictures this time:D So enjoy watching some of the things we experienced on our big day out yesterday:D
