Harry Potter

We are both currently reading the latest Harry Potter book, so we haven't had much to update with this weekend. I have now just passed 400 pages, with a little less than 200 left, very intense and exciting i must say. Ann has just started she's good and gives herself time. I will not reveal anything as i know a lot of you reads Harry Potter, i just thought i'd give u an explanation for why we hadn't updated this weekend.

love yah!

Sydney, Australia continued :)

oki, I shall try to finish my writing about our fantastic trip 2 Sydney :D

DAY 1 - 14th - 15th of June

As David already had run off 2 Oz because of work, me and Ida were flying off on e 15th EARLY morning! so we took a bus 2 e airport on 14th evening, and spent e nite at e airport! can't complain, cause v def had fun :D even had our own kids activity books with crosswords, dot to dot, find the faults and so on:D hihi. The company was great (of course, everybody who knows us knows that we r great:p hihi).

Ida with the tickets :)

Ann with the passports :)

When we landed in Oz, we headed off 2 the hostel Funk House Backpackers, not e best looking one, but we were only sleeping there anyway! Great staff and free brekkie :D hehe. can't complain :)

After that us girls went 2 check out the Sydney Tower:D def not as good looking as the Auckland Sky Tower, but still cool 2 go up 2 see Sydney from above :)

Sydney Tower from a distance

Hyde Park from above

Parts of Sydney from the tower! What a beautiful city :D

Well, that's most of the first day! David arrived in e evening, us girls were chilling/sleeping cause we were dead tired:p so just went 2 bed early and saving up energy 4 e rest of e week!

oki, gonna continue this post later, 2 tired rite now. Sorry 4 e delays!! hehe

Skytower

Well hello, it's me again.
I was gonna wait till Ann had uploaded pics from OZ and stuff but i am too bored now, and figured i'd make a post about Sky Tower.
We've been there twice now, well i have anyway.
Once in the Obeservatory, which has the best desert buffet. On my b-day in March, Shireen, Ann and David took me there, and we had a great dinner. With lovely view, and it was an awsome birthday:D

The 2nd time we went it was for a belated celebration of Shireen's birthday. This time we went to Orbit, which is a rotating restaurant. Now that was an experience hehe. If anyone has been to the tower in trondheim, it's sorta the same, just that i reckon Orbit is a bit more fancy.
Again we enjoyed a good dinner, with good company. and everyone got a spongebob goodiebag with sweets:D so we were happy. it didn't matter that the food took some time, because we had sweets hehe:D this time it was me, David, Ann, Shireen, Henry, Andrew, Andrea and Sara.

Noho Marae 1

In March we experienced our first noho marae, which is a weekend full of maori events. We started off on the friday with a nice welcome in the marae, meeting people from all over the world and had a lucky pot dinner or whatever it is called, where people brought dishes from their country, i must admit there was a lot of sushi and potatosalad, but that's alrite:P
We brought "rømmegrøt" but we soon realised it doesn't look very good and according to the brave souls who tried it, it didn't taste really good cold either. (So next time we will bring salmon wraps)
Throughout the weekend we learned maori songs, the stick game, flax weaving, a poi, and us girls got to make our own poi's which was very special (I have 2)
and also the guys learned the Haka, and they did a very good job, i was impressed:D
But most importantly, we made many new friends and had so much fun:D
We are already looking forward to the next one, which is in two weeks and we get to do it all over again:D And i promise that we will write about it and post new pics:D

Kelly Tarltons

We have a favourite place here in Auckland, we go there as often as we can.
The place is Kelly Tarltons, some of you might not know what that is.
It is a cute, fun aquarium, where they have penguins, stingrays, sharks, turtles, eels, pufferfish, crayfish, small and big ones. I have no idea how often we've been there, but we've bought a membership card so we can go whenever we can, and we've already had our money's worth.
And if anyone's coming here to visit, this is one of the first places we will take u.
So you too can experience the world of penguins from the snowcat, see them feed the stingrays, watch the sharks swim right above your head, and see all kinds of fish up close.
If you're lucky they might have a theme, they've had both spongebob (yay) theme and pirate theme so far, what's next:O

Also, me and Ann are planing on swiming with the stingrays at some point, we just haven't decided when to do it yet:P

Easter 2007

We did have a pretty awsome Easter, nice to have a couple of well deserved weeks off uni and just enjoy the nice autumn weather and relax.
We did stuff like go to the zoo, waiheke island, mt.eden, now that was a proper easter trip, with hot chocolate and oranges, chocolate and sandwiches, only thing missing was the snow and skiis hehe.
We also went to the zoo, and i do believe our first visit to kelly tarltons was around that time as well, but we've been there so often i reckon kelly's deserve it's own blogpost hehe.
Anyway here's a few pics from our holiday and we hope u enjoy them.
